The Orwell is suitable for a wide range of uses as a private hire venue.

To give you some idea about suitability, the following events have been or are planned to be held at The Orwell:

• Birthday (16-21 years) for 70 guests in September 2014
• Wedding or Civil Partnership for 70 guests in August 2014
• Birthday (6yrs or under) for 120 guests in September 2013

Is there a bar at The Orwell?

We understand that a cash bar is available at The Orwell serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to hirers and their guests.

Is The Orwell fully accessible?

Based on customer feedback, we believe that The Orwell is only partially accessible to wheelchair users and the infirm. Usually this means that not all areas of the building are accessible, or there may be internal steps requiring assistance or ramps, for example. We would advise taking up any special requirements in this regard with the venue directly.
